We’ve got lots of opportunities for you to help make summer reading fun for your kids. Reading during the summer break keeps your kids’ reading skills sharp. In fact, kids who don’t read during the summer can lose up to 2 months of learning and start the next school year behind their peers who are reading. United Way is here to help with book clubs every Monday and two fun summer reading parties on the calendar. Check out WLBT’s story on a fun summer reading event that United Way and MPB hosted Saturday, June 3oth.
