Give Help

United Way has many ways for people to give back to the community, regardless of age or income.

Make a donation
By giving to United Way, you have the power to change lives in our community in real ways you can see and feel.  Any amount you can give will have an impact on the lives of a child, young adult, elderly person or family. Click the "Donate Now" button to contribute now. Click here to learn more about United Way’s annual campaign.

Volunteer Projects
Volunteers are critical to the success and health of our community. There are many ways you can give both internally at the United Way by helping review requests for funding, support agencies at events, build partnerships and communicate our impact. To learn more contact ira@myunitedway.com.

If you would like to get your hands a little dirty, get your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors involved in volunteering! We have projects for all size groups -- from a single person to a large group. You'll be matched by your interests and location preferences. To find out about the latest volunteering opportunity in the Capital Area click here.

Community Wish Lists
The Wish Lists are produced each year by United Way of the Capital Area for the convenience of businesses, organizations, churches, clubs and individuals planning year round service projects.  We hope that this information will inspire a spirit of giving and also inform you of the many needs of local non-profits.  Click here to view the current Wish Lists.  To learn more contact Eruke Ohwofasaat 601.965.1355 or email eruke@myunitedway.com.

Gifts In Kind program
The Gifts in Kind program gives companies the opportunity to donate goods to local non-profit agencies. To learn more about Gifts in Kind, click here.

United Way Volunteer Opportunities
The gift of your time is always appreciated at United Way and our partner agencies.  Volunteers can get involved in several different aspects of United Way. Adults who want to help make decisions about where the money goes, can join the Donor Investment Committee. During the annual campaign, extra help is always needed to help organize workplace campaigns. The Youth United Way has leadership and volunteer opportunities for students age 14 to 24.  To learn more about volunteer opportunities, please call Eruke Ohwofasa at 601.965.1355 or email eruke@myunitedway.com.

A Planned Charitable Gift
Through a will or estate plan you ensure that your support, and the lives it changes in our community, will continue for future generations.  For more information about planned giving, please call Ouida Watson at 601.965.1349 or e-mail ouida@myunitedway.com
