Emerging Leaders Program

Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire philanthropy and volunteerism in the young leaders of Jackson Metro Area

ELP is made up of leaders, ages 21-45 who, individually or as a couple, invest a gift of $250 or more annually in United Way Capital Area.

Our Focus
Our focus areas are Leadership Training, Education, Volunteerism, and Networking.

Solutions 100  
 
 

United Way of the Capital Area is launching an Emerging Leaders Program named Solutions 100. We are looking for community minded inviduals 45 and younger that are interested in moving up the volunteer ladder. They are committed to furthering United Way's mission of building community by helping people care for one another. By actively participating in giving, volunteering, and networking opportunities, Emerging Leaders are helping United Way make a lasting, positive impact in people’s lives and in our community.

Our Solutions 100 is made four facets learning, volunteering, networking and giving.

The United Way Solutions 100 Progam
offers opportunities to:

• Learn about community issuese through
workshops and events

• Gain new leadership skills with training opportunities such as “Nonprofit Board Boot Camp” that gives you the tools you need to join a nonprofit board, or joining one of our committees.

• Participate in community group volunteer activities. Choose from a range of opportunities-when, where and how often. Whatever works for your schedule. Bring a family member or a friend.

• Meet new people who share your values. Attend fun social activites such as Speed Networking and Wine Tasting events
