United Way of the Capital Area

Our mission is to improve lives and build strong communities by uniting the individual with the will, passion, expertise and resources needed to solve problems. We work closely with nonprofits, school’s systems and other partners to make families in Hinds, Madison, and Rankin Counties whole by providing opportunities to receive a good education, become financially secure and lead a healthy lifestyle.

United Way of the Capital Area provides educational and asset building opportunities that create pathways out of poverty for families in Hinds, Madison, and Rankin counties. Our strategy is to invest, advocate, and leverage resources in order to solve problems at their root causes.  Our goals for providing opportunities for successful lives for families in the tri-county area are focused on our community impact strategies: Education, Income, Health
