The United Way of the Capital Area registered over 80 attendees at the 2nd Annual Disaster Preparedness Fair, where participants received weather radios to help them prepare for emergencies. United Way staff collaborated on this event because we are dedicated to assisting communities in preparing for, preventing, and responding to challenges, ranging from crisis support and disaster relief to environmental protection.
The Mississippi Urban League hosted the fair at the Jackson Medical Mall, providing the community with information on best practices and tangible resources to prepare for natural disasters such as tornadoes and hurricanes.
