(Jackson, MS) -- United Way of the Capital Area and 16-WAPT announce the 2023 School Tools Promotion on Friday, July 28, 2023. Branded and dubbed as the back-to-school supplies push, the book bag promotion will be held at the Byram, Clinton, Flowood and Madison Walmart branches from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The vision for all metro area students is for them to be equipped with the basic supplies they need to succeed in school. Additionally, we believe our classroom teachers deserve and must have the tools they need for our students to achieve. United Way of the Capital Area is devoted to this mission and unites with 16-WAPT in this School Tools Promotion in supplying some of the resources needed for the launch of a successful school year.
Our classrooms need general school supplies, book bags, and laptops for students. As a supportive and participating donor, the community can help provide thousands of students and teachers with the essential school supplies needed for academic success this school year.
Community Sponsors for this year’s 2023 School Tools Promotion are Entergy, Nissan, Richard Schwartz, and Walmart.
16-WAPT will unite and rally the community to collect as many donations as possible for this upcoming school year. All donations and proceeds will go to the United Way of the Capital Area, which in turn will use monetary donations for the purchase of school supplies.
